******FAQS*****

We love Vintage but it's rare to find a completely new garment from the fashion eras (1940-1980). Because of this you cannot get past the general wear and tear a garment faces. We have provided the following chart to help you imagine the condition our items are in.
note: All items are cleaned prior to selling.

Conditions:

Mint/ Perfect: new/ rare
Near Mint: like new, no noted flaws
Excellent: Noted minor flaws which do not compromise the item
Very good: Noted minor flaws, easily repairable, wearable as purchased
Good: Noted minor flaws, most likely repairable, wearable with care
Fair: Numerous noted flaws, some significant, possibly repairable/ wearable
As Found: Damaged beyond repair with value as costume or for study </center>

SIZING-
We measure every garment individually and provide any size information included in the garment. With vintage clothing it is important to go by the measurements rather than sizing. During the fashion eras most garments were custom tailored.

important note: these measurements are for the item. if the item page does not indicate stretching, know that your measurements need to be LESS than the garment's to fit properly. How much depends on you and your idea of comfort.

How we measure

Blouses, tops, coats and shirts

1. Arm length is measured from shoulder seam to wrist hem
2. Bust/chest measured from underarm, across the chest to the other underarm, then measurement is doubled
3. Length is measured from shoulder to hem or straight down the back not including collar.
4. Waist is measured across where a normal waist would fall and then doubled.
5. Back is measured from shoulder seam across to other shoulder seam

Skirts and dresses:

1. Dress length is measured from shoulder to hem
2. Waist is measured across where an average waist falls, then doubled
3. Skirt length is measured from waistband to hem
4. hips are measured across where an average hip falls, then doubled

Pants:

1. Inseam is measured from crotch down along inside of leg to hem
2. Waist is measured across natural waist the doubled
